1) It was an interesting news that Proton are currently going all out for international market rather than depending entirely to it local market.

I do agree with him, since Dato' Nazmi Salleh became chairman of Proton, there are a lot of improvement made by Proton. Apparently, it shows that it was a good move in appointing someone who has automotive background rather than appointing someone from other background.

1) GM on the other hand, recalling 1.3 million vehicles over the steering defects for its compact cars in North America.
2) The recall covers 2005 to 2010 for model Chevrolet Cobalt and 2007 to 2010 Pontiac G5 in the United States, 2005 to 2006 Pontiac Pursuit sold in Canada and 2005 to 2006 Pontiac G4 sold in Mexico.
3) The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration open an investigation on January 27 into approximately 905,000 Cobalt models in the United States after receiving more than 1,100 complaints of loss of power steering.
4) GM is currently developing a remedy to fix the problem and will notify the customers when the plan is finalised.
1) According to Toyota Motor Corporation President Akio Toyoda the grandson of Toyota founder, Toyota may have grown too fast, neglecting the careful of training of staff to ensure quality do not trail behind.
2) This statement came out after the series of recalling Toyota vehicles in the United States.
3) The problem that Toyota currently facing is probably due to 2 factors as follows:
i-Accelarator pedal do not spring back as designed.
ii- Floor mats can trap the gas pedal
iii- Accelaration system's electronics problem (This claims has been rejected previously by Toyota)
4) The above factors has lead Toyota to recall 8 million vehicles in the United States.
1) Honda Motor Corporation said, it would recall another 438,000 cars globally to replace airbag deflator that could rupture and send shards towards the driver in the accident.
2) The move follows a separate recall of 646,000 cars for a faulty window switch that engulf the Jazz subcompact in flames in South Africa, killing a child.
3) In 2008 and 2009 Honda did recalled in separate occasions covering a total 510,000 vehicles.
1) Its not only American and Japan automaker facing the recall over the numerous problems, but Korean automaker Hyundai Motors also facing the same problems.
2) Hyundai Motor Corporation voluntarily recalling 515 SUV in the United States over the defect of airbag system, the recall affects new Tucson SUV produced in South Korea and exported to US.
3) The defects involved the airbag system in front passenger seat and may not properly protect passenger in crash.
4) The same models sold in South Korea were not subject to recall because they have different airbag system.
1) Another Japanese automaker have to recalling it cars is Nissan Motor Corporation, the Japan 3rd largest automaker.
2) Nissan will recall about 540,000 vehicles worldwide due to potential defects in brake pedal pins and fuel gauge components, mostly in the United States.
3) Nissan said 5 models were involved including Titan truck and Armada SUV produced in 2008 to 2010.
4) Another problem that also engulfed Nissan is fuel gauge problem, which can at higher mileage levels fail to accurately indicate how much fuel left in the tank. The gauge problem involve 6 models from 2005 to 2008 model years, including Titan, Armada and Infiniti QX56.
5) No accidents or injuries have been reported.
